Phil Soutter
Phil is a true “Janner”, born and bred in Plymouth. He spent 15 years in a variety of local companies, including the manufacturing and wholesaling business sectors and qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 1987. He joined Ernst & Young in the same year, returning back into industry in 1990 when appointed as a Financial Director in a local IT company. Phil left industry in 1994 starting his own management consultancy practice, before starting Wills Accountants Limited with Sue in January 1998.
Phil now uses this experience to advice clients, with accountancy and tax advice, especially, business growth and development, Financial Director type support to a business and assisting new business ventures.
Phil is married and has one daughter and one granddaughter (now a Granddad we must keep his secret that he is really getting old!). He likes his rugger and played a bit too but now is content to support the Red Rose with a passion. Phil enjoys cycling at the weekends; his running days now are past him complements of his dodgy knees!
